Cubbyclaw — Foldable 2-Level Cat Cube with Scratching Panel
Someone texts that they're five minutes away and you're already kicking the cardboard scratcher behind the console. One cube holds the hiding, the perching and the scratching, so the room is guest-ready before you stand up.
You have a bed she sniffed once, a tunnel she walked past, and a cardboard scratcher doing nothing on the floor.
So you've stopped believing the photos.
That's fair — you've paid for this lesson three times already, and at some point you stop blaming the product and start wondering what's wrong with your cat.
One of the two almost always lands.
The couch arm stops getting worse
A cardboard scratcher on the floor asks her to crouch.
The sofa arm lets her stretch straight up, at the height she wants, and that's the whole reason she keeps choosing it.
The sisal panel runs down the side of the cube, vertical, at standing height.
It's on the same object she already sleeps in, which is what makes the handover work — she doesn't have to walk across the room to a thing she's never cared about.
You won't stop her overnight.
But the arm stops getting worse, and that shredded corner stops being the first thing you see when you walk in.
The room reads as furniture again
This is the part nobody mentions when they sell you pet gear: three separate cat objects in one small living room is what makes the room look like the cat owns it.
The bed under the console.
The mat.
The blanket over the cushion.
One cube replaces all three, in plain fabric, in the corner — and when someone texts that they're five minutes away, there is nothing to kick behind anything.
It also collapses flat.
If you want the room completely clear for an evening, it goes into a cupboard in about ten seconds.

How it works
Out of the box and into the corner in under a minute.
1Clear the corner
Take the old bed and the cardboard scratcher out of the room the same day. Leaving them in gives her an easier option and slows everything down.
2Let her choose
Some cats go straight inside. Others sit on top for a few days first. Either one means it worked — you don't need both.

The sofa-arm handover: how to get her scratching the sisal side within a week
The doubt is never about cat houses. It's about your cat.
Luz G.Verified“Had one of those flat cardboard scratchers taking up floor space doing nothing. Threw it out the day this arrived like the guide said. She's been using the sisal side ever since.”Carolina O.Verified“Mine is not a small cat and she lands on things with real commitment. I was fully expecting the roof to sag or give out. It hasn't, she sleeps up there most afternoons in the sun.”Eun-Ji K.Verified“The other two are still under the guest bed. I almost didn't order this because of that. The difference is she actually had a choice this time — she picked the top and hasn't moved.”
Two cats, two levels, no more arguingI have a 14 lb boy and a much smaller girl and I honestly thought this would only work for one of them. She took the inside, he took the top, and after about a week of him sitting on the roof staring down at her they worked it out. The sofa arm hasn't gotten any worse since it arrived, which is really what I paid for.
Dana K.Verified08/16/2026
My sister asked where I got the footstoolShe sat right down next to it and had no idea. Then the cat climbed out of it and her face was priceless. That's kind of the whole point for me.
Priya S.Verified08/15/2026
I already had a bed she wouldn't touch so I was...I already had a bed she wouldn't touch so I wasn't hopeful. There's a whole pile of stuff under my bed that she rejected. This one she was inside within the first evening and she's slept there almost every night since. I keep waiting for the novelty to wear off and it hasn't.
Hannah W.Verified08/14/2026
Took longer than a day but she got thereMine watched it from across the room for about five days before she went anywhere near it. So don't panic if nothing happens right away. She uses the top constantly now. Took a bit longer to ship than I expected during the sale but not a big deal.
Yesenia P.Verified08/13/2026
The corner looks normal nowBefore this I had the bed under the console table, a cardboard thing on the floor and a blanket over the arm of the couch. Now there's one box in the corner and that's it. My living room finally looks like a living room.
Aaliyah J.Verified08/12/2026
Worked out of the boxNo assembly, just unfolded it and put it down. She investigated it the same night.
Meredith L.Verified08/11/2026
I was worried it would look cheap in personThe photos always make things look better than they are so I was bracing for a lumpy fabric box. It's actually quite neat looking and the fabric is a plain enough color that it doesn't fight with anything. Sits in the corner by my bookshelf and nobody has commented on it, which is the highest compliment I can give a pet product tbh.
Tina V.Verified08/10/2026
Sisal side is actually getting usedThat was the part I doubted most. It's vertical and tall enough that she stretches up on it the same way she does on the couch. Couch arm has stopped getting worse.
DeShawn M.Verified08/09/2026
Bought this for my wife who was losing her mind over the couchShe'd been talking about reupholstering for months. This was cheaper than that by a very long way. Cat took to the top within two days.
Camila R.Verified08/08/2026
Good but wish it came in more colorsOnly thing I'd change. It works exactly like described and she sleeps in it, I just would've liked a darker option for my room. Not a real complaint.
Beth R.Verified08/07/2026
Folds flat in about ten secondsI did not think I'd use that feature but I had people over for a dinner thing and just tucked it in the hall cupboard. Back out afterwards and she went straight in like nothing happened.
Imani W.Verified08/06/2026
She's in it right nowTyping this from the couch and she's curled up inside. That's all I wanted.
Carolina O.Verified08/05/2026
I assumed the top would cave inMine is not a small cat and she lands on things with real commitment. I was fully expecting the roof to sag or give out. It hasn't, she sleeps up there most afternoons in the sun.
Jill B.Verified08/04/2026
Second one orderedGot one for the living room and it went so well I got another for the bedroom. She rotates between them depending on the time of day apparently.
Kendra E.Verified08/03/2026
My daughter recommended this after she got oneShe has two cats and swore by it. I only have the one and she's older and set in her ways, so I wasn't sure. She went in the enclosed part on day three and that's where she sleeps now. My daughter was right, which I will not be telling her.
Sofía M.Verified08/02/2026
Didn't think I'd care about the folding partI live in a small apartment and floor space matters more than I realized. Being able to collapse it is genuinely useful when I want the room clear.
Grace J.Verified08/01/2026
Slightly smaller than I picturedIt's 16.5 inches and that's exactly what it is, I just had a different picture in my head. My cat is average size and fits fine curled up inside. If you have a really big cat I'd expect them to use the top more than the inside.
Terrence B.Verified07/31/2026
I commute a lot and she used to destroy things while I was goneMostly the couch. Now she's got somewhere to be that isn't my furniture. Came home last week and she was on top of it instead of on the back of the sofa where she's not allowed. Small win but I'll take it.
Wendy O.Verified07/30/2026
Arrived quicker than expectedTwo days, as stated. Unfolded it and she was sniffing it before I'd even gotten the packaging out of the room.
Nadia F.Verified07/29/2026
It looks like it belongs thereI've bought pet furniture before that screamed PET FURNITURE from across the room. This one just reads as a fabric cube. Honestly forget it's a cat thing until she appears out of it.
Rick E.Verified07/28/2026
Wife wanted it, I thought it was a wasteI was wrong. Cat uses it every day. That's the review.
Ebony T.Verified07/27/2026
Works, but not the way I expectedShe has never once gone inside. Not once. She sits on top of it constantly though, so I suppose it's doing its job, it's just that I specifically wanted the hiding spot for when the vacuum comes out and that part is basically unused. Fine for what it is, just not quite what I was after.
CubbyclawThanks for taking the time to write this — and you're right, some cats only ever use one of the two levels. The top-sitters usually never convert, so you're not doing anything wrong. If you'd like a hiding spot for vacuum days, moving the cube somewhere darker and quieter sometimes shifts it. Either way, glad she's using the perch.
Luz G.Verified07/26/2026
The cardboard one went in the binHad one of those flat cardboard scratchers taking up floor space doing nothing. Threw it out the day this arrived like the guide said. She's been using the sisal side ever since.
Katherine S.Verified07/24/2026
Really pleased, small note on the packagingNo gift wrapping or anything nice about how it comes, which mattered because I got it as a birthday present for my sister. Product itself is great and her cat took to it in two days. Just wrapped it myself.
Jamal W.Verified07/23/2026
Was worried about the fabric holding upCat claws plus fabric usually equals a problem in my experience. Couple months in and the outside is still fine, she does all her scratching on the sisal panel which I guess is the whole idea.
Piper B.Verified07/22/2026
Guests don't ask about itThat's genuinely the bar for me. Before I had three cat things in the corner and people would comment. Now it's one and nobody says anything.
Fernanda C.Verified07/21/2026
I'm on my feet all day and she's alone a lotFelt guilty about it honestly. She's got somewhere of her own now that isn't just the couch. Sleeps inside during the day and on the roof in the evening when I'm home. Little routine of her own.
Eun-Ji K.Verified07/19/2026
Third bed I've bought her, first one she usesThe other two are still under the guest bed. I almost didn't order this because of that. The difference is she actually had a choice this time — she picked the top and hasn't moved.
Sue E.Verified07/17/2026
Good price for what it isI looked at cat trees first and they were more money and would have dominated the room. This does what I needed for less and I can put it away.
Zora N.Verified07/15/2026
Didn't have to figure anything outOpened the box, unfolded it, done. No screws, no diagram, no leftover parts. Took under a minute.
Lorena W.Verified07/12/2026
Solid. Cat approved. Would like a washable cover optionThat's my only wish. It's fabric and cats are cats. Otherwise very happy, she's been in it every day since week one.
Chad T.Verified07/09/2026
Bought a second one for my other placeWorks well enough that I got another. Same result, she claimed the inside within a day.
Adriana E.Verified07/05/2026
Thought it would add bulk to the roomMy living room is small and I was worried it would feel like I'd put a piece of furniture in the middle of everything. It's compact enough that it disappears into the corner. Genuinely less visual clutter than what I had before.
Anonymous07/01/2026
Cat likes it. Room looks better. Done.Nothing more to add really.
Keisha B.Verified06/24/2026
My friend noticed it before she noticed the catShe asked if it was a storage thing. Then the cat stuck her head out. We both laughed. It genuinely does not read as pet stuff.
Frederick D.Verified06/18/2026
The sofa arm situation has stabilizedIt was down to the batting on one side and getting worse every month. Has not gotten noticeably worse since March. She hasn't completely abandoned it but she uses the sisal a lot more now. That's an acceptable result.
Aisha O.Verified06/11/2026
Used it the same night it arrivedStraight in. No settling in period at all. I got lucky I think based on other reviews but wanted to say it does sometimes happen immediately.
Gary D.Verified06/02/2026
Not sure this is meant for outdoor useI put it on my covered porch because that's where my cat mostly lives and after a few weeks of humidity the fabric doesn't feel the same as it did. It also blew over once in the wind which I suppose is expected for something that folds. My cat did use it for a while before that. Maybe I should have kept it inside but nothing said not to.
CubbyclawThank you for writing this — and sorry it hasn't held up. You're right that we should be clearer: this one's built for indoor use, and covered porches still get enough humidity and wind to affect the fabric and the structure over time. Please get in touch with our support team, we'd genuinely like to help sort this out for you.
Marguerite C.Verified05/21/2026
I usually don't buy things like this onlineI like to see things in person, especially anything that goes in the living room where I can see it all day. My granddaughter ordered it for me. It's better made than I expected and the color is soft and neutral, not the bright blue plastic sort of thing you see in pet shops. The cat took a few days but she's in it every evening now while I watch my programmes.
Tavon S.Verified05/08/2026
Kinda surprised how much she uses itDidn't think she'd bother honestly. She's in it more than she's on the couch now.
Gabriela L.Verified04/22/2026
Ten minutes I get back every time someone comes overThat's not an exaggeration. I used to do a whole circuit of the room hiding cat stuff before anyone arrived. Now I don't do anything. Just answer the door.
Holly J.Verified03/30/2026
Still going strong months laterWanted to update since I wrote nothing when it first arrived. Months in, still standing, still used daily, still looks fine. No sagging on the top even though she launches herself onto it.
Omari N.Verified02/14/2026
Bought during a sale and it took a little longerShipping was slower than the two days but it was a busy period so that's fair. Product is exactly as described. She uses the inside during the day.
Questions, answered
Because it isn't one spot, it's two that work in opposite ways.
Cats who hide under furniture take the enclosed level; cats who sleep high take the open top.
You don't need her to use both — one is enough, and most cats pick within the first week.
It's a 16.5" cube, which suits a typical adult cat curled inside, and a second cat can sit on top at the same time.
A very large cat will use the top more than the inside, and that's a normal outcome rather than a fault.
It runs vertically down the side at standing height, which is the position she already prefers on the sofa arm.
That's what makes it usable rather than ornamental.
Expect the arm to stop getting worse rather than to be abandoned overnight.
Yes.
The top is a sitting surface, not a lid — it's the second of the two levels and it's meant to be landed on and slept on.
